Thomas Hill 

Adjunct Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent college of Law

Professor Hill was General Counsel of Hunter Douglas NV, a publicly traded Dutch manufacturing company. Previously, he was Senior Counsel for the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and an associate lawyer at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York. This background allows him to play a key role in making legal theory relevant to practice and practice relevant to legal theory.

Professor Hill obtained a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College, a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law and an LL.M degree from Columbia University School of Law. He has also been a post-doctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Private International Law in Hamburg, Germany, and at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles. Professor Hill has published in the areas of international trade and e-commerce, international law and foreign sovereign immunity.
