LL.M Study at Chicago-Kent

After successfully completing SAL, qualified students can apply for admission to Chicago-Kent's U.S., International, and Transnational LL.M. program and can earn the degree, at a significantly discounted tuition rate, by successfully completing a single semester at Chicago-Kent and earning a minimum of 14 credit hours and meeting degree requirements. Qualified students may also spend two semesters at Chicago-Kent if they so desire, with the second semester tuition also charged at a significant discount. For those qualified SAL students who are admitted to Chicago-Kent's U.S., International, and Transnational Law LL.M. program and who are certain (from the start of the fall semester orientation program) that they will study for two semesters at Chicago-Kent, these students can participate in a petition process which takes place at the beginning of the fall semester orientation program to switch into one of Chicago-Kent's specialized LL.M. programs: (1) International Intellectual Property; (2) Financial Services Law; (3) Trial Advocacy for International Students; and (4) Legal Innovation + Technology. If the student's petition to switch into one of the specialized LL.M. programs is accepted by the director, the student is required to spend one full academic year, beginning in the fall semester, at Chicago-Kent.
